A specialist in personal impact and presentation, Caroline works with her clients to reveal their most energised and engaged selves.
Caroline believes that great performance is about combining creativity, empathy and imagination with disciplined preparation. In her previous work as a theatredirector and acting teacher, Caroline became intrigued by the difference between actors who are comfortable with who they are, and able to communicate with full human presence, with those who are less ready to reveal their true selves.
She noticed that, as the stakes got higher, the actors became less connected with themselves as communicators. It was her job to reconnect them. Finding this dilemma reflected in other professions, Caroline began exploring how her theatre skills could be used differently. Completion of her professional coach training with Coaching Development means Caroline is now able to fuse her coaching and theatre skills.
Before becoming a coach, Caroline directed in theatres nationwide, from The Tron in Glasgow to London’s Royal Court, and experienced first hand the complexities of multi-faceted organisations whilst running a theatre company. Caroline taught and directed at drama schools nationwide and the BBC also employed her to help develop screen writers, culminating in her script editing two BAFTA-winning episodes of EastEnders. After leaving the BBC she continued to nurture new writing talent, before she made the move into coaching.
